Applications Administrator

Title: Applications Administrator

Working pattern: Part-time flexible (two to three days or evenings per week)

Salary: Voluntary

Location: (Remote) based anywhere in the UK

Every day, countless cats and dogs experience abuse, neglect, and abandonment through no fault of their own. The UK and many other countries worldwide are experiencing an animal welfare crisis and the demand on charities has never been greater. We aim to support as many families as possible through their animal adoption journey. The Applications Administrator position is key to identifying suitable homes for each animal under our care.

 

The Role

Working closely with the Applications Manager, the role of the Applications Administrator will involve overseeing all stages of applications. Duties will include:

  • Following established application procedures at planned stages of the application timeline.

  • Tracking progress on applications and regularly updating on progress.

  • Providing a high quality and consistent service to applicants and enquirers.

  • Making decisions on applications against set-criteria.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.

  • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and documentation.

  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and improving processes is highly desirable.

  • Access to a private computer and a secure Wi-Fi network.

Adoptions Administrator

The Adoptions Assistant position is key to providing a smooth and supportive service to our new adopters and ensuring our animals experience a stress-free transition.

 

Working closely with the Adoptions Manager, the role of the Adoptions Assistant will involve overseeing all stages of adoptions. Duties will include:

 

  • Following established adoptions procedures at planned stages of the rehoming timeline.

  • Tracking progress on adoptions and regularly updating on progress.

  • Providing a high quality and consistent service to adopters

  • Liaise with the wider team to ensure deadlines are met.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.

  • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Fundraiser

Title: Fundraiser

Working pattern: Part-time flexible (two to three days or evenings per week)

Salary: Voluntary

Location: (Remote) based in the UK with ability to travel to either East Sussex or Merseyside for events

Closing date: 2nd March 2025

The UK and many other countries worldwide are experiencing an animal welfare crisis and the demand on charities has never been greater. We aim to be there for every animal who needs us, and rely on the generosity of our supporters to do this. The Fundraiser position is key to increasing our supporter base, maximising income so that more animals can know the loving care of a rescue charity, and ultimately finding a safe and secure future.

 

The Role

Working closely with the board of Trustees, the role of the Fundraiser will involve leading on all aspects of fundraising. Duties will include:

  • Expanding current fundraising activity to create new opportunities for the charity.

  • Identifying new opportunities to increase funds and awareness, including new grant and business partnership opportunities.

  • Developing and agreeing a fundraising plan, including measurable targets and outcomes.

  • Utilising the expertise of the Marketing team to increase awareness of PAW Society and its fundraising initiatives.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of exceeding fundraising targets on a budget.

  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practice guidelines.

  • Experience of running fundraising appeals or direct marketing campaigns.

  • Knowledge of how to utilise digital channels to increase giving and awareness.

  • Ability to identify and harness new opportunities.

  • Ability to travel to events 1-2 times annually, either in East Sussex or Merseyside.

  • Knowledge or experience of bid writing is highly desirable.

  • The ability to manage a small team is desirable but not essential.

  • Access to a private computer and a secure Wi-Fi network.

Social Media & PR Executive

Title: Social Media and PR Executive

Working pattern: Part-time flexible (two to three days or evenings per week)

Salary: Voluntary

Location: (Remote) based in the UK with ability to travel around East Sussex

The Social Media and PR position is key to increasing the charity’s supporter base, brand visibility, and reputation.

 

The Role

Working closely with the board of Trustees, the role of the Social Media and PR Executive will involve leading on all aspects of social media and PR. Duties will include:

  • Staying up-to-date with developments and trends within the animal rescue and charity sectors.

  • Researching and producing impactful posts across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok as well as a monthly newsletter.

  • Establishing a social media and PR strategy, including measurable targets and outcomes, to create new opportunities for the charity.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with media outlets, providing press releases, and organising interviews.

  • Engaging with supporters and service users with professionalism and identifying ways to increase engagement.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of social media management, PR, and communications with knowledge of best practices.

  • Photo and video editing skills and basic graphic design ability (Canva or similar).

  • Working knowledge of paid advertising on social media platforms.

  • Creative mindset and strong research skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive problem-solving capabilities and ability to juggle multiple projects, sometimes within fast-changing circumstances.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to travel around East Sussex to gather content (up to four times per year)

  • Access to a private computer compatible with and a secure Wi-Fi network.
