Mario

Mario is a soft natured boy who enjoys the company of other pets. He finds a lot of confidence in the resident dogs and needs a calm and confident dog to help him flourish. In foster, he lives with cats and small furry species who he takes zero interest in. He’s also met children form age three and has been very calm and gentle in their presence, although can be spooked by sudden noise or movement.

Adults can take Mario a little longer to trust, but he’s much more confident once they’re seated. His reaction to things he finds scary is always to retreat away until he feels safe. On walks, Mario walks beautifully on a lead, but can be unsure of fast or noisy vehicles. He is at his most confident when meeting new dogs and shows perfect doggy manners.

Mario’s new family can expect to support him through all typical puppy behaviours including inappropriate chewing and separation anxiety. His ideal home would be calm with a confident and patient family who have ample time to spend building his trust.
