Polly’s foster describes her as super sweet and cute. Having come from a home where she was the only pet, she’s adapted well to a multi-cat home and is becoming more tolerant of the other cats. She will often choose to avoid them but will make them aware vocally when they get too close. She would prefer to be an only cat again, but could live with another cat of similar age and temperament.
Having quickly earnt the nickname Polly Savage for her reactions to people, Polly is now becoming an affectionate cat on her terms. She will purr as soon as her foster looks at her and roll around with her legs in the air. Although not a lap cat, Polly will initiate affection with her foster and purrs happily while doing so. If Polly were to live with children, they would need to respect her space and understand that she doesn’t enjoy being picked up or bothered.
Polly is quite mobile for her age but avoids jumping to and from height. It’s possible she will develop arthritis as she ages but she has a clean bill of health for now. She suffers with acne on her chin which has been well treated with over-the-counter medications. As Polly has been an indoor cat all her life, she would not cope well with free access to the outdoors. She will need to remain an indoor cat, or have access to a secured garden.
